Hong Kong is a vibrant international city, and as such has a wealth of hotel accommodation to meet all needs. In order to assist overseas attendees, the HTCIA Asia Pacific Chapter have selected two well positioned Hotels with reasonable rates. Note that the Wharney Hotels will have daily bus shuttles to and from the conference venue leaving at 0815 Hrs (you will be advised of return timings). Details of public transport options will be provided during the conference.

The Wharney Hotel is situated in the heart of the entertainment district of Wanchai on Hong Kong Island with a vast array of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is extremely close to many forms of public transport and is approximately 15 minutes away from the conference venue by road. Hotel 2: Island Pacific Hotel - Please make your reservations online via http://www.sino-hotels.com/Island_Pacific_Hotel/en/default.aspx for the cheapest rates. This hotel is a very short distance away from the HK University Conference facilities - it can be walked in 10 mins (uphill), or a short taxi ride for HK$20- (US$2.5)

Please note that the conference will be held during the best time of year in Hong Kong. The weather is generally clear at a comfortable temperature with low humidity. In addition, the HK Harbour will be lit up with the Christmas lights and it is a spectacular time to visit us! You are advised to bring light clothing for daytime and a sweater and/or jacket for the evenings as temperatures can fall.
